Genesis 10:21-32

3R’s
Prayer-Lord, open my heart and open my mind and help me learn. G-F-W. Amen.
21 Sons were also born to Shem, whose older brother was [

] Japheth; Shem was the ancestor of all the sons of Eber.
22 The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud and Aram.
23 The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether and Meshech. [
b]
24 Arphaxad was the father of [
c] Shelah, and Shelah the father of Eber.
25 Two sons were born to Eber: One was named Peleg, [
d] because in his time the earth was divided; his brother was named Joktan.
26 Joktan was the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, 27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, 28 Obal, Abimael, Sheba, 29 Ophir, Havilah and Jobab. All these were sons of Joktan.
30 The region where they lived stretched from Mesha toward Sephar, in the eastern hill country.
31 These are the sons of Shem by their clans and languages, in their territories and nations.
32 These are the clans of Noah's sons, according to their lines of descent, within their nations. From these the nations spread out over the earth after the flood.
The sons of Shem. Sounds like the title of a good "B" western,(staring Ronald Reagan as Shem.) Shem was the father of the Hebrews. He was also the father of the Persians, Syrians, and the Assyrians. All of the peoples of the Middle East descended from one of the three sons of Noah.
I think it is very interesting that some of these families fight each other constantly now. They hate each other! It is not just the Hebrews and Arabs, it is country against country, and region against region. Does this mean that man basically hates other man? Even though we say " no", our actions say "yes."
Humans are prone to evil, and nothing is more evil than hating our brother. God realized this, and knew that it would take a supreme sacrifice, so he sent his son as a guide for a Godly life. If we have Jesus in our hearts, we can not hate. Even if it is son of Ham who has been very naughty. We may not like the actions, but we must love the actor. Christ died to save us from evil, the world perished to remove Noah from wickedness, and so on. Our hate needs to die so that we can be resurrected with Christ. Who is your brother? We all are.
Prayer-Lord, Give me the strength to love all man, even the ones who are the hardest to love. Thank you for sending your Son to deliver us, and help us live the way He showed us how. Go-Fight-Win. Amen.
Things to do-Read Genesis 11:1-9. This is the story of the Tower of Babel.
