A Bible study initially set up for alumni of the Senior Sunday School Class at the First United Methodist Church of Lufkin, Texas. Philippians 1:27-30

Relax-Read and Reflect
Prayer- Lord, Open our hearts and open our minds and help us learn. Go-Fight-Win. Amen.

27Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the faith of the gospel 28without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved—and that by God. 29For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for him, 30since you are going through the same struggle you saw I had, and now hear that I still have.

If we are to do God’s work here, then we need to always conduct ourselves in a matter worthy of Christ. We must always be consistent, and consistently Christlike. Not only in our deeds, but how we persevere. Christians must be brave, because we will have struggles. The way we face those struggles is the way we show salvation.
No one really likes to struggle or to suffer. Even Christ wrestled with this. If we meet the problems the world give the church with courage and determination, we win.

Prayer- Lord give us the courage to live in a matter worthy of Christ. We want to do this because we love You. Go-Fight-Win. Amen.
