Romans 2:12-16
Relax, Read and Reflect
Prayer- Lord, Open our hearts and open our minds and help us learn. Go-Fight-Win. Amen.
12All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. 13For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. 14(Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, 15since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.) 16This will take place on the day when God will judge men's secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares.
It’s not what you don’t know that gets you in trouble, it’s what you do know! We know God’s laws and rules and will be judged by them. It’s not how much of Gods laws you have studied that impresses God, It is how you apply these laws to your life.
Interesting fact. Societies all over the world follow God’s basic laws, (murder, stealing, etc.) But in all societies, (ours included,) people break those laws. People, as a breed, are very stubborn. Sometimes we must admit to God, and ourselves, that without his help we can only live up to human standards, and those are low. It is only through God that we can live the life that will be rewarded by eternal life with God.
Prayer- Lord, help me live life to Your standards, not just the standards of this world. Go- Fight-Win. Amen.
