Matthew 5:13

Relax, Read and Reflect.
Prayer- Lord, Open our hearts and open our minds and help us learn. Go-Fight-Win. Amen.
13"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.
Let’s put in prospective. In Jesus’s time salt was a very valuable and important commodity. It was not just a seasoning, but it was the preservative, and was even used as medicine. Without salt, people could not survive. If salt loses it’s saltiness, it can not get it back, then it is worthless.
Is Jesus saying we are worthless if we loss our faith? No, what he is saying is the our faith is what makes us different than other people. If we loose our faith, we are no different than the rest of the world. Jesus says we should not be like the rest of the world, we should not just "blend." We are special, and like salt have the ability to positively affect our world.
Here is the good news, because Jesus has faith in us, we will never be without faith. We do, however, need to use this faith to change the world. When people set out to change the world, they do things in a different way. If your friends say that you are being different, and are starting not to be one of them, congratulations. You are becoming salty, and salty people affect the world positively.
Prayer- Lord, help us all remain the salt of the earth. Use us to season, to preserve and to heal. It is because of you and through you that we do these things. Go-Fight-Win. Amen.
Viva Jesus!
