Matthew 5:27-30

Read, Relax and Reflect
Prayer- Lord, Open our hearts and open our minds and help us learn. Go-Fight-Win. Amen.
27"You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.'[

] 28But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell
So..What about lust? This may be one of the ways Jesus clarified the law that confused the most people, (up to this point.) Exodus 20:13 clearly states "Do not commit adultery." So what is adultery? That depends on what your definition of "is" is. Things can be confusing.
Not any more! Your mind controls your body. If you lust-you sin. This makes it easy because it is straight forward. If part of you can not be controlled by you, get rid of it. Go back to the second sentence in this paragraph, your mind controls your body. This means that you literally do not have to mutilate yourself.
However, the body whole will be held accountable. This is teaching about both the physical body and the church. Pretty cool.
Prayer- Lord, help us keep our bodies in check, both physical and spritual.Go-Fight-Win. Amen.

Viva Jesus!
